Visualising Conflict/Peace Atlas was produced within the “Conflict and Cooperation in Eastern Europe” (KonKoop) project (2022–2026). This project is a network of six German institutions, collecting knowledge and expertise on the dynamics of conflict and cooperation in (South)Eastern Europe, Central Asia and South Caucasus since the Cold War onwards. KonKoop researchers come from diverse disciplines (e.g. political sciences, history anthropology, security studies) and work on six topic lines: Post-imperialistic Nation Building Processes, Ethnic and Religious Diversity, Economic (Des-)Integration, Environmental Change and Ecological Resources, Interactions and Interdependencies between Conflict and Cooperation, and In:Security. In doing so, they are supported by a Multiperspective Visualisation Laboratory (VisLab), and a DataLab (see project description).
